Required Qualification

B. Tech Fire & Safety from approved collegeScience graduate with Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial SafetyDiploma in Mechanical/Electrical with Diploma/PG Diploma industrial safetyQualification in Environment managementNEBOSH and other credential will be an advantageSkilled in computer operation of MS Office and Power point is must

Functional Responsibilities

Own the ISO, LEED and other certifications on our portfolio. Identify opportunities for new certifications and implement based on management decisions.Responsible to maintain suitable internal process controls for ISO and other certification including safetyResponsible to ensure compliance on all EHS, Technical and labor related aspects. Ensure statutory reporting & license renewals across portfolio. Report and escalate on compliance related matters to leadership team as per process.Identify opportunities for improvement in areas of EHS performance and collaborate with operations for implementationEnsure audit program is implemented for managed portfolio to cover EHS & labor compliance. Concerns to be escalated and monitored for resolution. Collaboration required with operations, procurement, and finance for resolutions.Drive internal & external communication in case of any health / environmental emergenciesSupport clients for IMS and other certifications.

OHS Responsibilities

Implementation of applicable statutory HSE regulations and industry HSECompany policies and procedures are implemented consistently and well understood by all employees’ standards.Regular inspections and audits as per HSE calendar of activities.Communicate HSE related information from management to all concerned personnel and post.

Co-ordinate all interrelated matters between HSE committee, management committee and line management.HSE training to all sub-contractors as per HSE Training Matrix.Monitor the system of maintenance and inspection of life saving and emergency response equipment.Prepare Daily/ Weekly / Monthly safety statistics reports present to Management team.Ensure all Incidents are reported and tracking the status of agreed corrective actionsEnsure Emergency Evacuation Mock Drills are conducted as per statutory normsProvide EHS related trainings to the Staff/ Vendor/ Services staff etc.Site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.

Accountability

Accountable to Statutory & Environment Compliance to prepared & followed.Accountable to Provide HSE related trainings to the Staff/ Vendor/ Services staff etc.Accountable to plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.Tackling of emergencies / urgent issues with efficiently, effectively and consequences preparation.To participate in implementing the intention of the OHS & Well-being Policy and achieve intended outcome of OHS & Wellbeing objectives for area of operations.To participate in implementing occupational health and safety objectives (including wellbeing)Identification of hazards, opportunities and assessment of riskSafe operating procedures (safe systems of work)Accident/incident, near miss reporting, investigation and CAPA monitoring.Ill-health monitoring (including absenteeism and presentism)

Authorize to stop unsafe practicesAuthorize to report incidents, Near misses, unsafe conditions to his superiorAuthority to enforce EHS complianceAuthority to recommend to implement control measuresAuthority to investigate root cause thoroughly of an incidentAuthority to collaborate with other department to ensure comprehensive approach to EHS managementAuthority develop & deliver training program on various EHS topicsAuthority to review HIRA of all activities & suggest changes if requireAuthority conducts the Health & Safety inspections & Audits.Authority to communicate health & safety communications.
