In this role, you will utilize hand tools and a tape measure to follow work instructions and assemble components for flooring and drop ceiling products. You will work collaboratively in a team for lifting tasks, but should also be comfortable lifting up to 30-35 pounds independently. Once hired, there is an opportunity to receive training on machinery operations. **Responsibilities** + Learn and maintain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the Ceiling Grid department. + Position parts and monitor operations on equipment to produce products at established production standards. + Inspect panels or parts to ensure they meet quality standards and notify appropriate personnel of any issues. + Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required. + Use banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of products or materials. + Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures. + Adhere to all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and Safety Manual. + Maintain awareness of quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and conditions to the proper personnel. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand tools. + Ability to use a tape measure accurately. + Experience in general labor settings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with power tools and machine operation is a plus. + Familiarity with micrometers and calipers is advantageous. **Work Environment** The work environment is located in a clean and modern annex facility, although it can be loud. You will be working alongside about 15 other employees at any given time, with a focus on containment door assemblies. The work schedule is the first shift from 6 AM to 2:20 PM, with 1-2 hours of overtime per day.
