Primary Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead a team of Warehouse Associates (25-28) to ensure efficient operations, maintain safety standards, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. You will be responsible for driving performance, delivering results, and meeting or exceeding defined goals.

 

You will cultivate a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, providing real-time coaching, motivating your team, and ensuring a collaborative, respectful, and safe work environment. Associates will work in different temp zones including refrigerated (25 to 35°F) and freezer (-20°F).

 

The start time and schedule vary, but it's a second shift position and we have a six-day workweek, off on Staurdays.

Essential Functions

Leading and Developing Team Members

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 25-28 Warehouse Associates, ensuring they have the tools, support, and knowledge to meet and exceed performance expectationsSet clear, achievable performance goals using KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, safety, and cleanliness to drive results while fostering a culture of mutual respect and high engagementProvide real-time coaching, guidance, and feedback, always reinforcing a positive, collaborative work environment where team members feel valued and supportedInspire individual growth and career development by promoting skill enhancement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement that celebrates both individual and team achievementsRecognize and celebrate outstanding performance, motivating the team to perform at their highest potential and creating a positive and respectful work environment

Safety and Compliance Management

Lead by example in creating and reinforcing a safety-first culture, always ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and company policiesConduct regular safety inspections and audits, providing training and implementing corrective actions where needed to prevent injuries and improve safety standardsHold the team accountable for maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment, where safety is viewed as a shared responsibility and a core value of daily operations

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, continuously optimizing workflows to drive productivity and minimize bottlenecks Apply LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices to identify opportunities for process improvement, reduce waste, and ensure operations remain efficient, accurate, and aligned with team objectivesCollaborate with peers and leadership to implement improvements based on feedback, performance reviews, and observed inefficiencies, always striving for better results and greater accuracy Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude High school diplomas or GED required; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years of formal leadership experience for teams of 10 or moreProven track record of maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with safety regulationsDemonstrated experience leading a team, mentoring, and developing warehouse personnel. Required experience includes:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate and engage a teamExperience conducting structured monthly check-ins and on-the-floor observationsExperience developing and tracking action plans for team membersAbility to delegate effectively and manage changeAbility to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectivelyAbility to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasksStrong computer skills, including experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)Must be able to work a flexible schedule including various shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays to support warehouse operations

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential warehouse functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift, move, and carry 30-40 pounds repetitively upwards of 1,000 times per day. Must be able to lift, move, and carry larger items up to 75 pounds less frequently. The Warehouse Supervisor is frequently required to stand, walk, climb and sit at times in the warehouse. While performing the duties of this position, the supervisor is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. Freezer temperatures: (-20°F) | Refrigerator temperature (25-35°F).  The supervisor is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the warehouse work environment are typically low to moderate.
