Job Summary:
The Production Test Technician performs functional tests and calibration on hydraulic assemblies of moderate complexity in accordance with established test procedures. The Technician also performs maintenance and calibration of the test equipment.
Essential Functions:
Perform preliminary or final functional test on products or subassemblies of oil pumps or valves to ensure the parts comply with quality standards.Work from test procedures, blueprints, and manufacturing outlines.Setup test stands and test benches for test procedure, including fixtures, hydraulic lines, and sensing equipment.Setup peripheral equipment for monitoring tests such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and thermocouples.Prepares test data sheets indicating test results.Perform visual inspection of product for defects with a high attention to detail.Work with various lubricating oils.May suggest changes in testing procedures or to equipment to improve processes.Utilize experience and judgment gained from work as a tester.Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an assembly, technician, or material handler role in the Aerospace industryKnowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in how hydraulics work.Skills/Abilities: Must have strong attention to detail and be able to read and follow test procedures and technical drawings. Must be good at taking notes during training. Must be willing to get hands dirty.Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Ability to pass a drug screen pre-employmentPreferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience as a tester or equivalent job experience in HydraulicsWorking Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE.May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes. Salary range: $26.70 to 35.34. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
