**Job Title: Production Technician - Temp**
**Job Description**
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembling air leak detection equipment composed of electrical and mechanical components, including instrumentation tubing and various electrical parts. Using blueprints, you will install all components to ensure the equipment functions optimally. These tabletop units are crucial for detecting air pressure leaks in various items such as medical equipment and engines, predominantly used by manufacturing companies for quality checks. This is a temporary position lasting 1-3 months to cover for someone on medical leave.
**Responsibilities**
+ Build, calibrate, test, and audit leak test products according to specifications and procedures within budgeted hours.
+ Verify conformance to product specifications, application protocols, and audit document outcomes.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting to resolve issues on the production floor and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
+ Maintain 100% accurate and timely documentation on job hours, BOM/parts used, and production data.
+ Ensure appropriate calibrated instruments and tools are consistently used.
+ Adhere to ISO-9001 and other applicable quality policies and procedures.
+ Comply with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, quality, and compliance policies.
+ Maintain a clean and organized production area.
+ Continuously learn and receive training on new products and technology.
+ Work diligently and efficiently, keeping quality practices in mind.
+ Maintain a cooperative attitude with team members, leaders, and co-workers.
+ Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of mechanical experience.
+ Experience reading blueprints and diagrams.
+ Experience working with pneumatic equipment.
+ High school diploma or GED; technical or associate degree preferred.
+ Basic knowledge of hand tools and usage.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
+ Knowledge of assembly, electronic, and pneumatic parts.
+ Ability to read and understand drawings or schematics.
+ Working knowledge of ISO policies and work instructions.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, including solid oral and written communication.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
+ Ability to identify and escalate problems.
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on outstanding tasks.
+ High level of reliability and accountability.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Swagelok certificate on fittings and tubing is desired but not required.
+ Knowledge of instrumentation is a plus.
**Work Environment**
You will be working in an air-conditioned electronics shop with approximately 10 people in this division. The standard working hours are 7 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to start between 6-8 AM. The environment is conducive to teamwork and efficiency.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
