Production Tech II

Our client is seeking a Production Tech II to work within their facilities located in Odessa, Texas on a long-term assignment (initially 12 months with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on oil and gas production equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, and associated facilities Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets Monitor production equipment performance and identify potential failures or safety concerns Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with company operational procedures, environmental regulations, and safety standards Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and production data using computer-based systems Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and P&IDs to support troubleshooting and repair activities Coordinate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment or system issues Travel between field locations as required and respond to operational needs Skills & Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in oil and gas production or field operations Minimum of a GED or equivalent Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair capabilities Working knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and field operations Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and P&IDs Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation Ability to work independently and safely in a field environment Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between field locations
