Opportunity Snapshot:
Compensation: $38/hourLocation: Carlsbad, NMAssignment Duration: 12 months+Work Schedule: 8/6 RotationBenefits: Comprehensive insurance with 401(k) program, PTO & Holidays ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment
Troubleshoot problems, diagnose equipment failures, and make repairs as needed
Work with other production staff to ensure that production is meeting quality and quantity goals
Perform basic to intermediate level pumping skills which include, but not limited to, tank gauging, the proper operation of heater/treaters and 3 phase separators, and all attendant valve and oil seals and seal records
Reading and recording all needed meter readings
Visually inspecting Surface equipment daily for defects, leaks, neatness, and damage
Observing, recording and inputting oil and gas production volumes daily
Operating properties to ensure all regulatory, environmental and safety compliance issues and goals are met
Seeking ways to reduce direct lease operating expenses by noting problems and/or recommending courses of actions to supervisor
Check production units daily and responsible for creating and maintaining daily production reports
Perform various other field related activities as required
Communicate between regular and relief pumpers on rotations in written form
Leading by example in areas such as EHS, maintenance and record keeping
Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering or a related field is requiredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience is required. Some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredPrevious experience in oil and gas industry requiredMust have gas lift experience. Familiarity with beam, gas lift and esp wellsCompressor experience a mustBasic computer skills and familiarity with SCADAAbility to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSafety Sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol screeningValid driver's license and clean recordHigh school diploma or equivalent required
