Description

The Production Team Leader supports the Department Supervisor in daily operations of the production area. This position is responsible for coordinating work assignments, monitoring productivity and quality, ensuring safety and standard work compliance, and providing guidance and support to team members. The Team Leader serves as a key link between production employees and plant leadership to maintain efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tAssist the Department Supervisor in overseeing daily production activities to meet productions schedules and completion points while maintaining safety and quality standards.

•\tAssign and coordinate daily tasks and rotations among team members to ensure a balanced workload.

•\tEvaluate staffing needs based on daily absenteeism and vacation time.

•\tTrain and coach team members on standard work procedures, safety practices, quality standards, and equipment operation.

•\tMonitor product quality and ensure adherence to specifications and company standards.

•\tCommunicate production goals, changes, and updates to the team during shift start and throughout the day.

•\tSupport problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events, waste reduction).

•\tHelp maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and 6S standards.

•\tTrack and report production data such as output, downtime, and defects.

•\tAssist with equipment checks, material flow, and changeovers to minimize delays.

•\tAct as point of contact for team issues and escalate concerns to the Department Supervisor when needed.

•\tIssue corrective action and hold team members accountable when policies are not followed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.50/hr.
