The Team Lead will be responsible to ensure that production targets are met for their area of responsibility by working with operators and support functions to achieve planned production. The Team Lead is to proactively maintain and support a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, by facilitating communication, encouraging a team atmosphere, and act as a role model for the Danfoss Company This position is in Newbern, Tennessee. **Job Responsibilities** Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Conduct daily shift meetings. • Review Hourly Registration at each machine for completion and reacts to deviations; based on deviations on Hourly Registration board initiate actions to ensure production targets are met. • Works with material handlers and/or support teams to ensure material availability to support flow and production. • Support, identify, plan, and execute improvements ideas by mentoring and teaching fellow employees. • Manages daily planned production and keeps visual management boards updated. • Ensures prioritization of tasks in cooperation with the team. • Review and monitor inventory levels to support 100% achievement of daily schedule completion. • Communicate with other shifts to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to another. • Work closely with area supervisor, maintenance, and support functions to ensure issues are escalated and addressed efficiently to support goals. • Support supervisor by keeping them aware of any issues or potential issues regarding manufacturing, personnel, and product. • Maintain orderly and organized work areas in accordance with 5S+ standards. • Participate in continuous improvement processes (RCPS, 4-steps, 8D’s as well as kaizen/continuous improvement events). • Uphold strict compliance with all Danfoss and production floor policies. • Responsible for end of shift reports and communications. • Responsible for stepping in the supervisor’s role as needed. • Required to work overtime including coming in before and staying past normal shift hours. • Flexibility to work different shifts when needed. **Background and Skills** • High School/GED • Proven Leadership experience • One (1) Year Manufacturing Experience • Able to motivate teams towards continuous improvement • Basic Computer skills • Good communication skills • Good people skills. • Able to remain calm in the face of stressful situations. **Ready to Make a Difference?** If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you!
