We help our customers move the world.Position Overview:We are hiring a Wire Center Production Supervisor to join our GA400 Alpharetta facility. This entry-level management role reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for leading a team of 15 to 20 production technicians. The supervisor ensures that safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved. Regular shift hours are Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend availability is required, as the supervisor may be scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays based on operational needs. Straight time compensation applies after 45 hours worked.The Wire Center Production Supervisor plays a key role in setting expectations and providing clear directions, hands-on training, and constructive feedback to team members. Collaboration with cross-functional departments is essential to drive performance. A strong focus of this role is to foster employee development and promote continuous improvement of the assembly process.What your day-to-day will look like: Lead daily meetings with your team to review production status, communicate safety updates, quality concerns, and employee policy reminders Oversee and manage the assembly area by assigning personnel, coordinating workflows, and ensuring proper materials, tools, and procedures are in place to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals Support technicians by providing guidance on technical and quality matters, and coordinating issue resolution with relevant support teams Track key performance indicators, document deviations, analyze impact, and initiate corrective actions when needed Engage in continuous improvement activities through participation in Gemba walks, Quality Gemba, 6S audits, Quality Arena sessions, and Safety Meetings Develop and train employees by assigning skill-building tasks, maintaining development plans and updating the skills matrix to reflect progress Lead and execute improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing productivity, quality, and efficiency Collaborate on policy creation and administration, including workplace safety, ISO standards, and operational guidelines Evaluate employee performance through mid-year and year-end reviews, and provide constructive feedback to promote growth Manage timekeeping responsibilities including approving timesheets, PTO requests, and running payroll summaries Perform production management tasks including closing conforming production orders and completing necessary system transactions To thrive in this role, you have: 5+ years of experience in production or supply chain logistics3+ years in leadership/supervisory position Proven success in a directly related field with demonstrated expertise in key responsibilities Strong mathematical proficiency, including applied knowledge of algebra, geometry, and statistics Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal Solid understanding of Environmental Health and Safety regulations and procedures Familiarity with software applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), Outlook, and Minitab Knowledge of machines, power tools, and hand tools, including use and maintenance Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles Strong management skills for coordinating people and resources Effective leadership ability to guide and motivate teams Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: BS/BA degree in a related disciplineWorking knowledge of supervisory concepts, practices, and team management approaches Strong digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred Commitment to obtain Siemens Performance Systems Expert and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications in a timely manner Why you'll love working for Siemens!
