This Position reports to:

Chef de service - Production
 

As a Production Supervisor, you will report to the Production Area Manager and will be primarily responsible for monitoring production needs in a unionized manufacturing environment that promotes participative management.

This role is part of the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The work model is 100% on-site at the plant, on the evening shift.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge

Supervise a production team of approximately 15 unionized employeesCheck the availability of equipment, materials, and personnel, and identify production prioritiesAct as a leader in health and safety managementIdentify opportunities and manage improvement plans in your areaGuide, evaluate, and coach employees in reaching their skill levelsIdentify training needs for production employeesParticipate in production planningLead team meetingsParticipate in shift transition meetings and others

What You Need:

2 years of experience supervising employees (preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment)Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence your teamAutonomous, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and projectsAbility to handle and resolve emergency situations and make quick decisionsAbility to manage change and act as a change agentAbility to work as part of a team and interact with various members of the organization
