JOB OVERVIEW

This role will be responsible for the analysis, planning and control of all operations within the specified department. This role is responsible for the utilization of human, material and equipment capital and adherence to production schedules as set forth by the supply chain team. This is a 3rd shift position, from 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating and maintaining staffing plansResponsible for selection, hiring and training of direct reportsTrains, coaches and motivates employees to maintain and develop the skills necessary to meet and exceed production goals.Develop and execute daily work schedulesEnsure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulationsCommunicates production goals to operators in area of responsibility, and provides resources and motivation to meet or exceed goals.Accountable for meeting production expectations through safe operation in accordance with established procedures and within specified process settings.Ensures complete and effective training of all operators for applicable work instructions and safety procedures. Provides documentation and tracking of all training in assigned process areas.Conducts and documents effective safety meetings at required intervals.Review and update safety and environmental employee awareness training plansAssists in implementing engineering changes.Coordinates communication of Engineering Change Notices, Test Approvals, and engineering and maintenance projects to direct reports.Serves as focal point of contact to coordinate all projects, tests and process improvement work in the assigned process area.Assists in the coordination of team based activities that result in waste elimination or added value.Assist Sr. Production Supervisor in the department performance and vertically integrating all shifts into one cohesive teamReviews and assesses the skill set of each employee as it relates to the job requirements. Conducts timely performance reviews, and assists in the management of individual development plans.Creates and administers disciplinary action as necessary.Tracks employee attendance and timesheets according to Company’s policy.Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates Degree in Manufacturing, Business Management or Engineering preferred   .Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing environmentExperience with Microsoft Excel and Word.Good communicator with the ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
