Onsite – Salt Lake City, UTOur Medical Devices team in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift).The Production Supervisor is responsible to assist the Production Manager to assure the production schedule of products is accomplished such that all sales orders may be completed on time. Supervise the assembly and repair of medical device components in accordance with assembly drawings, instructions, and quality standards. Responsible for the training of production leads, assemblers, and service personnel in basic assembly techniques as well as leading daily production activities.Responsibilities:SupervisionProvide leadership and supervision for the assembly / repair team to assure efficiency and effectiveness of team membersAssist in the interviewing, hiring, appraisal, professional development and counseling all individuals under his/her authorityUtilize ERP system to track work order shortages, incoming parts, labor collection, and material movementMonitor product quality and workmanship during assembly / repairAssist Production Manager in the daily production meeting process.Monitor safety in the work areaEnsure that personal protective equipment is utilized as requiredReport safety hazards to managementPerform safety incident investigations and implement corrective actions as requiredSet up production lines for optimum efficiencyFollow, understand, and implement SOPs for production such as Non-Conforming Material (NCM) handling, Traceability, Process Controls, etc.Assist in the development and performance of regular reporting online / cell scrap, yield, output labor utilization and efficiencyPromote a culture that minimize waste, maximizes productivity through the use of lean manufacturing principles, associate training, and feedback.Interact with other departments to develop and facilitate the implementation of new products into production.Track all open work orders through manufacturing floor & report on labor utilizationAssist in the maintenance of labor content standards for product assembles / repairedAdditional Responsibilities:Complete required training in a timely mannerAssist with other projects as requested by a member of managementAssist in the implementation and attainment of “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI)Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Four years related experience and/or training with a minimum of two years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated ability to provide leadership to a direct labor forceStrong computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and computer-based ERP systemsElectronics and or mechanical assembly industry experienceThe ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledgeAbility to learn QSR, ISO13485 regulations and lean manufacturing principlesBasic understanding of medical validation requirements and testing.Objects weighing up to 25 pounds are worked with, manipulated, and lifted on a repeated basisPersonal drive and follow through, strong human relations and team building skillsAble to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellencePreferred Qualifications:Associates Degree#LI-CP1

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
