Opportunity summary:  As the Production Planner you will serve as the intermediary between elements of the supply chain and will be directly responsible for mill production schedules. You will orchestrate all supply chain efforts with logistics and customer service teams, creating and organizing the most efficient manufacturing schedules that maximize efficiency and productivity to meet customer requirements.

Make production scheduling and transportation decisions with a high degree of autonomy Communicate production and logistics decisions with cross-functional stakeholders as necessary to ensure alignmentContinuously identify innovative ways to improve trim efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize machine utilizationAssist with on-time shipments to customers by scheduling machines for production runsCommunicate regularly and effectively with manufacturing personnel to ensure production runs are sequenced to meet customer/company objectivesBalance competing needs, metrics (i.e., trim efficiency, shipment time, freight loading optimization) and goals to arrive at the optimal scheduling and logistics solution for all partiesGenerate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling reports to measure performance and identify solutions to optimize efficiency when appropriateManage FIFO inventory for raw materialsOversee clamp truck operators to ensure processes are in complianceManage month-end inventory reconciliation

 

What you need to succeed:

Experience with scheduling tools and supply chain softwareStrong analytical skills to evaluate large amounts of data  Ability to make key decisions to resolve customer issues and deliver a solutionPossess effective communication skills to clearly convey priorities across different departments  APICS certification is preferred Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law. The salary range for this position is $75,375.00 - $125,625.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
