Production Scheduler
Job Title: Production Scheduler Job Description As a Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for representing the plant within a network, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to planned production volumes and dates. Your role is crucial in supporting the plant’s performance across core business objectives such as inventory, cost, and customer satisfaction. You will focus on managing the short-term frozen horizon for the plant through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and engineering. Responsibilities + Adhere to and align with the Master Production Schedule. + Re-sequence or re-route production orders to minimize deviation when constraints arise. + Escalate execution issues when resolution time does not allow adherence. + Manage shop floor scheduling and level load orders based on capacity in the cell. + Ensure manufacturing has required work at all times and communicate overtime requirements. + Direct daily workflow through analysis of reports and input from cross-functional teams. + Align and set priorities for resources across the factory to maximize efficiency and material flow. + Expedite orders for customers and expedite shortages with buyers, while communicating updates to customer service. + Ensure work orders are current, not past due, and not in pick status for long periods. + Support in minimizing past due sales dollars and resolve quality issues to drive customer on-time delivery. + Support High Performance Work Teams and be flexible in working in different environments. + Contribute to plant continuous improvement initiatives. + Prepare reports and correspondence for use by SCM professionals. + Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Purchasing. + Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques to improve the scheduling function. + Ensure compliance with applicable contract flow down. Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum 1-2 years in a supply chain role. + Reside within 50 miles of Jackson, MI. Work Environment This position will be on-site at the manufacturing plant in Jackson, MI. Work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jackson, Michigan Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
