This position will be hired as a Raytheon employee working as part of the Raytheon organization supporting Collins Mission Systems.
The Modernization portfolio in the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business area has an immediate need for a highly-experienced Program Manager to lead a high complexity program effort driving synergy between the Raytheon Integrated Product Team (IPT) and the government customer. The PM will lead the production re-start effort of the program with internal operations teams and critical supply base partners: a highly visible and trusted satellite communications system used by the United States Navy and its International Partners (IPs). The PM will also be responsible for future capture activities for this effort. The PM will be accountable for all aspects through program execution (cost, schedule, technical performance and customer satisfaction). This role requires a leader with a strong command of program leadership best practices to enhance program execution.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge and expertise in Program Management, with a proven track record of successfully leading large teams, production efforts, and interfacing with multiple customers in the defense industry.
This is an Onsite position located at either our Marlborough MA or Largo FL sites. Relocation is not provided.
What you will do:
Provide leadership, direction, and implementation management for local and remote teams supporting productionSupport all phases of the program and potential program follow-on life cycle from proposal through implementation to contract closureTravel, up to 20%, to participate in domestic business engagements with customers, partners, and teammatesSet production program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, implement gates and support major reviews with the customerManage cost, schedule, scope, operational security and customer interface activitiesPrimary point of contact with the customer/External customer satisfaction for all production activities.Meet contractual requirements and manage customer expectationsConduct periodic meetings with the customer for production program reviewsAchieve Annual Operating Plan financial commitments including orders, sales, margin, cash flow and accurate forecasting of monthly performancePlan production work effectively to meet program requirementsHold Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Manager (CAMs) accountable for execution of tasks, including identification of recovery plans as neededConduct internal reviews, e.g. Gate Reviews / plans in accordance with internal policies and proceduresLead pursuit and proposal activities as needed for future production opportunities; develop change proposals and lead negotiation teamsQualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experienceMinimum 8+ years of program or project management experience or a relevant discipline (such as Operations Program Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Ownership, Material Program Management, Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead) in the aerospace and defense industry8+ years of experience in leading organizations closely aligned with a program management office (Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations)Experience leading production programs.Self-directed leader capable of executing Change Management and handling ambiguityEngineering and manufacturing development (EMD) phase experience with DoD programsCustomer-facing program leadership experience, with excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.Ability to travel for customers, company, and program-related activities (up to 20%).Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
