The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga facility is looking for a Press Helper to work with the Press/Printing team on the day shift. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks that include all activities associated with helping operators with job functions, set-up, conducting quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.  

How you will impact WestRock:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety policies.Obtain and understand production docket according to print schedule.Ensure all appropriate supplies are at the press – ink, plates, stock, etc.Comply with all SOP’s and Quality Procedures.General maintenance, and housekeeping of department.Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or production industryExperience working with Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 40 pounds.Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.Must be able to maintain good attendance.

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PMFriday: 7:30 AM to 12:30 PMMust be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
