Production Planning & Scheduling Lead
Overview The Production Planning & Scheduling Lead is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing optimized production and scheduling plans to meet customer demands while maximizing plant efficiency (reduced changeovers, enhance line utilization) and minimize CFR (Customer Fill Rate) loss. The incumbent leads cross-functional alignment through an integrated Master Business Plan (IMBP) that considers plant capacities and business needs, coordinating closely with Outbound Supply Chain, Inbound Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Agro. teams and Sales Planning. The role also ensures the seamless execution of innovation and renovation projects within the production network. Responsibilities - Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability. - Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production output vs. plan and make adjustments as necessary. - Coordinate with material planners to ensure availability of raw materials and components. - Work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to align plans with business goals. - Lead or participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes. - Review AOP volume and map available capacities (packaging and processing) month on month in Supply reviews and share if there any watch-out. - Communicate production issues and potential delays to stakeholders promptly. - Analyze performance data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities. - Generate and present KPI reports such as MPS, Schedule attainment (MPS), CRF, OTIF. - Use ISCP/MRP systems for planning, monitoring, and reporting. - Lead initiatives for process improvements in planning and scheduling. - Support NPI agenda through provision of timely and accurate progress tracking against SLA. - Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence programs. - Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Qualifications - Gradate in Supply Chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. - 4-5 years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles, preferably in FMCG. - Proven experience with MRP systems (e.g., SAP, ISCP). - Experience in a fast-paced, multi-product environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just-In-Time (JIT), and other production strategies.
