Job Title: Production Planner II
Job Description
As a Production Planner, you will coordinate supply chain, manufacturing, and assembly operations to fulfill customer demand efficiently and predictably.
Responsibilities
Analyze plant capacity data to determine resource constraints and adjust plans accordingly.Plan, schedule, and prioritize operations and production routings to maximize performance and reduce delays.Adjust schedules in real time to mitigate risks caused by material shortages, equipment downtime, or labor constraints.Issue purchase requisitions and collaborate with procurement to resolve shortages or long-lead items.Assist with generating production-related costs and lead-time inputs for customer quotes to ensure accurate and timely pricing.Coordinate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure raw materials, components, and subassemblies are available to meet production schedules.Monitor costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.Report on the production status and any production issues to upper management and other business entities.Utilize market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.Work with leaders to help teams overcome obstacles, solve problems, and make improvements balancing maximizing localized efficiencies with critical production constraints.Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to communicate the strategic direction of production planning throughout all levels of the organization.Coordinate with logistics and suppliers to ensure inbound materials and outbound finished goods flow reliably.Develop lean and predictable processes, including maximizing the power of ERP and planning methods.Handle disruptions and unexpected problems.Provide a customer-first attitude to both external and internal customers.Support and execute additional operational tasks and priorities assigned by leadership to ensure overall production and organizational objectives are met.Essential Skills
2 – 5 years of industry-specific experience in production planning, inventory management, and/or manufacturing.Experience and knowledge of production planning & scheduling; experience with inventory control, logistics, and forecasting preferred.Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with SAP preferred.Advanced Excel skills including Lookups, Pivot tables, and Power Query preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and remain flexible in a changing environment while completing tasks.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to learn new software and business processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, or other related field preferred.Involvement with transformations, change management, continuous improvement/lean initiatives, and their application to production planning is a plus.Work Environment

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sherwood, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.05 - $45.67/hr.
