Production Planner
Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for managing all planning functions and activities to support the product line through the manufacturing cycle. This includes scheduling sales orders to shipment of products, ensuring smooth shop floor movement, and maintaining an efficient demand and supply chain. You will ensure inventory levels align with market forecasts and oversee operations to deliver high-quality products to customers on time. Additionally, you will set up and manage product line SIOP meetings, review and maintain planning parameters, and work to improve planning techniques to optimize inventory levels and cash flow.

ResponsibilitiesManage all planning functions and activities throughout the manufacturing cycle.Create and maintain efficient demand and supply chains.Align inventory levels with market forecasts.Ensure smooth and cost-efficient operational flow.Deliver high-quality products to customers on time.Set up and manage SIOP meetings.Review and maintain planning parameters, including forecasting and demand planning.Develop and improve planning techniques and processes.Work with the Value Stream to provide order status and recovery plans.Facilitate communication between planning, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales teams.Essential SkillsExperience in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management in a manufacturing setting.Proficiency in ERP and JDE systems.Ability to quickly learn and adapt on the job.Experience in purchasing, inventory management, production control, and material planning.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.1-3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning and Lean Manufacturing concepts.Working knowledge of MRP systems.Experience with demand analytics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Organizational and problem-solving skills.Continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis mindset.Work Environment

You will work collaboratively with two other planners and engage directly with shop employees on the floor. The role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for growth and strong tenure within the company.

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
