The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing efficiency across the manufacturing process. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Plant leadership to align production with customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity forecasts. The Production Planner leverages ERP/MRP systems, advanced planning tools, and analytics to optimize schedules, monitor costs, and identify and resolve scheduling issues. Additionally, the role drives process improvement initiatives, maintains accurate planning parameters, and serves as the primary point of contact for commitment dates.
Responsibilities
+ Schedule all areas to ensure on-time deliveries for customers at the highest rate of production efficiency possible.
+ Provide clear definition of production demand to Plant leadership for manning purposes.
+ Participate in the development of detailed, achievable production schedules, and measure and report performance to schedule.
+ Plan, schedule, and coordinate production through affected areas such as inventory control, manufacturing, and project management.
+ Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing to meet customer demand and support sales goals, inventory control, and capacity forecasting.
+ Coordinate the acquisition of materials and components as required to support the production floor to ensure clean to build.
+ Serve as the main point of contact for commitment dates.
+ Communicate proactively with affected internal customers as issues occur.
+ Identify root causes of scheduling problems and correct them.
+ Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
+ Minimum two (2) years' experience using an Epicor ERP system or four (4) years using integrated MRP/ERP systems.
+ Understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes.
+ Proficiency in leveraging ERP/MRP systems, advanced planning tools, and analytics to optimize schedules, monitor costs, and resolve scheduling issues.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support effective correspondence with internal and external customers.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion.
+ Capability to interact with various internal departments.
+ Strong analytical skills to solve problems and implement effective solutions.
+ Proficiency using MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred.
+ Ability to analyze data effectively.

The work environment is a production manufacturing setting within the electronics industry, characterized by a team-oriented and fast-paced atmosphere. The company is a family-owned, full-service electronics manufacturing services provider, offering prototype and full-turnkey production services for a wide range of customers. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
