**What you’ll do:**
The Production Planner is responsible for analyzing finished goods requirements generated by the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) System and to convert these requirements into a detailed production schedule. This role ensures that all required goods and services necessary to support manufacturing operations are procured in a timely, efficient, and cost effective manner. He/She manages and is accountable for confirming delivery commitments to the SCM division and ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) targets are met.
1. Participate on and support assigned Business Unit for achievement of production team goals and improvement of the production activities.
2. Analyze and interpret computer generated MRP reports to develop and maintain continuous material flow and balanced production work load based on material availability, customer requests, economic run quantities, and production capacity.
3. Schedule, enter and maintain all orders to satisfy customer demands and/or required stocking levels.
4. Analyze and follow-up on procurement of fabricated components, as well as raw material to prevent material shortages and/or overstocking due to customer requested schedule changes, design changes, rejected parts.
5. Acknowledge customer orders based on stock availability and/or lead time in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Assure that all necessary system changes are made to accommodate customer changes: increases, decreases, and reschedules.
7. Responsible for affecting implementation of ECN generated changes into work orders to ensure the proper construction of finished goods.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ At least 3- year experience in Production Control in a high volume manufacturing environment.
+ Experience dealing with foreign suppliers in a contractual format is desirable.
+ Working knowledge of MRP systems, just in time concepts and respective production processes.
+ SAP system experience.
+ Excellent organizational skills for managing large volumes of components part numbers.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional groups.
+ Excellent attention to administrative detail to include timely analysis, follow through, and final resolution.
+ Experience in Procurement or Purchasing function is an advantage.
