Job Overview

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing daily production schedules based on resource availability, equipment capacity, and customer demand. This role works closely with production leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure plan execution and timely delivery of products. The planner monitors work order progress, resolves scheduling conflicts, and continuously improves planning efficiency.
The Production Planner will oversee the creation and adjustment of detailed production plans to optimize efficiency and minimize delays across shifts.
 
Key Responsibilities
 Demonstrate commitment to EHS, and ensure all appropriate actions are undertaken to implement EHS policies & procedures & legislative requirements.Demonstrate commitment to quality, and ensure all appropriate actions are undertaken to implement quality management system and its related requirementsProduction Order Monitoring & WIP Control 
Review daily status of work orders; patrol and check for consistency between system orders and physical WIP.Resolve any discrepancies promptly and communicate with shift leads for attendance and resource availability (e.g., raw materials, outsourced capacity).Control WIP levels within reasonable limits.Raise early warnings for any conflicts with the production plan (e.g., material, equipment, or labor issues 
Daily Shift Scheduling & Execution Tracking  
Based on work order status and machine capacity, prepare detailed production plans for shifts. Track plan progress and ensure on-time delivery. 
Outsourcing Coordination 
Develop and manage outsourced production plans.Track, follow up, and provide feedback. 
New Product & Process Introduction Support 
Assist ME team with new product testing and introduction.Adjust production schedules based on process changes and gather relevant data. 
Equipment Maintenance Coordination 
Support MT team in scheduling equipment downtime for maintenance.Adjust production plans and personnel deployment accordingly. 
Reporting & Analysis 
Daily update and review of plan completion reports.Support weekly and monthly production reporting.       9.    Continuous Improvement
Continuously optimize production planning to enhance efficiency.       10. Administrative Support
Handle expense reimbursements, bonus and attendance summaries, and procurement of consumables for the production department. 
All other reasonable duties as assigned 
 
Key Skills & Competencies
 Production Planning: Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and production sequencingCommunication: Clear and effective communication with various departments and shifts, and could Cooperative mindset with a willingness to support cross-functional initiativesProblem Solving: Rapid response to scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and workflow inefficienciesERP & Systems Proficiency: Skilled in using ERP systems and barcode tracking platformsTime Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
 
Qualifications
 Education: Associate degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExperience: Minimum 2 years in a production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment Languages: Proficient in Mandarin; English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) proficiency preferred 
 
Physical and Environmental Conditions
 Work Environment: Combination of office and shop floor; must be comfortable working near Experience: Requires ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.Lifting Requirements: Occasional lifting of tools or products etc. as needed for production and support tasks
