Free parking on site and more! Responsibilities Develop and optimize production schedules to balance customer deadlines, inventory levels, and plant capacity. Leverage ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Kinaxis) to generate work orders, track progress, and adjust plans in real time. Partner with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Operations, Sales) to align production plans with business goals. Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or material shortages to minimize downtime. Analyze production data (lead times, throughput, scrap rates) and recommend efficiency improvements. Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring raw materials and WIP (work-in-progress) meet production needs. Communicate schedule changes clearly to stakeholders, ensuring smooth workflow transitions. Contribute to supply chain risk management by monitoring supplier performance and demand fluctuations. Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance planning accuracy and productivity. Guide and mentor junior team members in best practices for production scheduling. Qualifications Bachelor’s in supply chain, Business, or Engineering Preferred: APICS CPIM/CSCP or Six Sigma ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) Advanced Excel & data analysis Inventory/supply chain principles Lean Manufacturing experience 2-5 years in production planning/scheduling Manufacturing industry experience preferred Strong communicator & problem-solver Detail-oriented under pressure Employment Details Schedule: Monday to Sunday, Rotational Shifts) Location: Northeast Calgary, Alberta Type: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Interested in Production Planner role in Northeast Calgary, Alberta?
