Production Planner
Description Production Planner - Level 2 (5–6-Month Assignment) Overview: This is a temporary 5–6-month assignment for a Production Planner (Level 2) role. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of production and manufacturing workflows, possess strong computer proficiency (especially in Google Workspace and Excel), and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to production processes and systems like NetSuite or similar ERP platforms. The hiring urgency is high, as cross-training must occur before the current team member goes on leave. Key Qualifications: + Manufacturing & Production Knowledge: Basic understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, and production control. + Bill of Materials (BOM): Familiarity with reading BOMs is essential. + Work Orders: Experience with writing or handling work orders is preferred, though openness to learning is acceptable. + ERP Systems: Experience with NetSuite is advantageous; familiarity with any similar ERP system is acceptable. + Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.) required. + Learning Agility: Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and processes efficiently. Role Details: + Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. + Start Date: ASAP to allow time for cross-training. Key Responsibilities: + Inputting data into NetSuite (or equivalent ERP systems). + Ensuring production plans are clearly communicated and executable. + Managing work orders to support production efforts. + Supporting production control tasks in collaboration with the manufacturing team. + Assisting in cross-training tasks as required. Requirements Required Skills and Experience + Degree in a business or quantitative discipline and 2+ years of production experience, or 5+ years in a production environment with equivalent practical experience + Solid understanding of factory material flows and production planning + Familiarity with manufacturing tasks such as welding, bending, and tapping + Experience with production inventory systems (e.g., NetSuite), including BOMs, work orders, and ECOs + Proficiency with work control and project tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Teamcenter) + Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional production environment + Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset for removing blockers and improving workflows + Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining accuracy under pressure This opportunity is well-suited for someone who wants to grow in production planning and manufacturing operations, with the potential to gain valuable on-the-job experience in a high-demand field.
