This job posting is anticipated to expire on 1/31/2026 What You'll Do Must be able to work any shift. $1 increase @90 days then another $1 increase after 9 months Primary Purpose- Packer Operator ensures that the finished product is packed according to the item specifications. They confirm the correct bag and labels are prepared and used correctly. They monitor the sealing process and check for any bags not sealed properly. It is the Packer Operator’s job to ensure the product presentation is acceptable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.  Sample procedures to ensure quality checks 2.  Attention to detail and record keeping 3.  Review and plan for the daily production schedule specific to your position 4.  Stage raw material (bags, supersacks) inventory 5.  Must be able to drive a fork truck 6.  Tracking and trending SPC charting for bag weights and make necessary adjustments 7.  Ensures hourly metal detector checks are completed and documented 8.  Maintain a clean workspace during production and at the end of the shift 9.  Reports to the Lead Operator 10.  Report all Accidents and Near-Misses immediately. 11.  Report all Maintenance issues to Lead Operator to enter into the Maintenance work order system 12.  Create positive relationships with coworkers 13.  Other duties and projects as assigned The above listed duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. What You'll Need To Succeed Minimum Requirements Experience 1.  Strong organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential. 2.  Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job. 3.  Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions. 4.  Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely. 5.  Ability to drive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal relationships. Education •  High School Diploma or GED Preferred Skills & Qualifications •  1+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working Conditions •  Food manufacturing plant •  Warehouse environment •  Laboratory environment •  Ability to work in a confined space environment Physical Requirements •  Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, climb, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work. •  Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time. •  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively on a daily basis. •  Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments. •  Ability to work any shift up to 7 days a week. ​Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
