About the role: Barry Callebaut, a world leader in high‑quality chocolate and cocoa products, is seeking a dedicated Melting/Powders Operator to join our production team. This role plays an important part in ensuring the safe and efficient melting of cocoa liquor, butter, oils, and related materials that support our production processes. If you are reliable, safety‑focused, and eager to learn, we want to hear from you. Key responsibilities include: + Sets up the melting area and starts up equipment at the beginning of the shift. + Validates which product to melt (Cocoa Liquor, Butter, Coconut Butter, or rework) and ensures it goes to the correct tank. + Monitors the process to maintain continuous production flow and coordinates tank scale reading + Enters ingredient usage into SAP accurately. + Maintains housekeeping in the work area and completes required MSS documentation. + Communicates production information to the incoming Shift Supervisor and team members. + Works safely at all times, following procedures, wearing PPE, and using proper safety equipment. + Performs daily equipment quality and safety inspections and completes checklists. + Learns and assists with shipping/receiving of liquid loads, drums, and totes, as well as mixing when needed. + Ensures compliance with GMP, HACCP, and all food and employee safety policies and procedures. About you: + High school diploma + Experience using SAP and/or computer systems + Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset + Strong commitment to safety and quality + Ability to work effectively in a team environment + Willingness to learn multiple roles within the production process + Reach Forklift experience required Physical Requirements & Working Conditions + Ability to move throughout the facility + Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs frequently + Comfortable standing for long periods on concrete floors + Frequent bending, squatting, stretching, and reaching + Ability to climb stairs regularly + Comfortable working at heights + Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions inside the facility Compensation:Hourly Rate: $25 Hours of Work:Continental shift 6:45pm to 7:00am Shift Details:Night Shift Barry Callebaut can offer you a challenging and dynamic international environment that includes a broad range of opportunities for personal growth and development.
