Production Manager

Volt is immediately hiring for a Production Manager in Nampa, ID. 

As a Production Manager, you will:

Production Management:

Manage all PCB job orders to corporate profitability requirements and present results to Senior Management on a regular basis.

Proactively coordinate and schedule production jobs based on dynamic priorities, corporate revenue goals, and demanding on-time delivery metrics.

Continuously monitor and adjust the daily production schedule as necessary to adapt to real-time challenges and maintain peak output in a fast-paced setting.

Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, factory issues, and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine and implement necessary alternatives to maintain production schedules and on-time delivery.

Optimize the allocation of personnel, material, and equipment resources to consistently meet and exceed production schedules.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency:

Oversee equipment maintenance to ensure the department is achieving expected efficiency and productivity goals, with a keen eye on maximizing SMT line performance.

Drive and support activities in the area of cost containment, efficiency, productivity, waste minimization, and inventory control, with a strong, practical focus on lean manufacturing principles.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Facilitate swift root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective action as required for quality control issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production flow.

Uphold and actively maintain ISO and AS9100 standards throughout the entire production process.

Hands-On Team Leadership & Development:

Lead daily, impactful production meetings at the beginning of all shifts with leads and/or department supervisors to decisively direct production activities and establish clear production priorities.

Ensure the workforce is properly trained, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.

Conduct annual performance reviews and provide consistent, constructive coaching to employees.

Actively monitor safety, productivity, and efficiency of the team, addressing issues directly and effectively.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Serve as a critical and proactive link between Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Production Control, and Manufacturing, providing immediate feedback on potential bottleneck areas based upon work in progress.

Strategic Contribution:

Play a key role in obtaining planned results and helping to maximize the long-term value delivered from the business.

This is a full time, direct hire role. 

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven Operations and/or Plant Management experience of PCB Assembly  Strong background in a custom contract manufacturing environment required Three to five years of direct, hands-on PCB manufacturing supervision experience. Demonstrated expertise in meeting commitments to customers and focusing on robust customer relationships to drive operational success. Prior experience responsible for manufacturing costs management and comprehensive job cost analysis. Ability to work closely and effectively with Accounting & Supply Chain in extracting and analyzing data from ERP & Financial Systems for Job Cost analysis. Deep knowledge of quality systems, tools, and procedures (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.) and related customer quality standards and requirements, especially as applied in a contract manufacturing context. Extensive experience with scheduling on the production floor and adeptly managing personnel and equipment resources. Intimate familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) layout principles and processes. Expert knowledge of IPC 610 & J-Standard 001 standards.

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000/year.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
