Your extruder expertise will be crucial as you monitor operations, troubleshoot issues on the fly, and ensure everything meets our quality standards.

Responsibilities Operate and calibrate industrial food production machinery daily Adjust speed, temperature, and output for optimal quality Perform precision measurements with digital tools Enforce HACCP protocols and conduct hourly quality checks Promote safety through PPE compliance and hazard reporting Troubleshoot mechanical issues using PLC readings Execute emergency stops and lockout/tagout procedures Collaborate with maintenance on predictive upkeep Maintain 98%+ machine uptime and minimize waste below 2% Manage automated material handling systems Work 8-hour night shifts and complete digital shift reports Reply to production changes and suggest improvements Participate in Kaizen meetings and train new operators Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or food production Proficient in operating machinery while adhering to safety guidelines Basic math and measurement abilities Ability to work 8-hour rotational shifts, including night shifts (mandatory) Own reliable transportation and valid Class 5 driver’s license required Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted Able to work in warm and dusty environments Ability to pass background checks (mandatory) Forklift certification is a plus Familiarity with HACCP and GMP standards Experience with extruder (mandatory) Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting (mandatory) Employment Details Schedule: Overnight shifts (Rotational Shifts), Monday to Friday The location: Northeast Calgary, AB Other: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week, shifts premiums Interested in Production Machine Operator role in Northeast Calgary, Alberta?
