Production Logistician

Our life-saving systems, which we develop and manufacture in Zurich, are used for advanced heart failure patients needing short- or long-term circulatory support. Our location in the heart of the city of Zurich has around 130 employees in the areas of development, quality and production of the **CentriMag** system and the **HeartMate 3.** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Production Logistician** to join our team. **Position Overview:** The **Production Logistician** is an individual contributor who operates with limited supervision, applying specialized knowledge to support key production logistics activities. This role requires the ability to understand and respond to specific operational needs, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and goods throughout the production process. Responsibilities include handling chemicals and dangerous goods in compliance with safety standards, performing receiving inspections, managing internal logistics, and executing shipping activities. The role is essential to maintaining smooth and safe production operations. **Key Responsibilities** **Receiving & Inspection** + Receive incoming goods and inspect them according to specified requirements. + Identify and report discrepancies to relevant stakeholders (supervisor, manufacturing engineers, purchasing). **Internal Logistics** + Transfer materials from warehouse to production areas. + Manage storage and retrieval of goods. + Conduct cycle counts and inventory checks. **Shipping** + Process and dispatch shipping orders. + Handle shipments involving dangerous goods in compliance with regulations. + Support production order processing. **Shopfloor Management** + Maintain a clean and organized workspace through 5S practices. + Actively participate in shop floor meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** + Completed school diploma or equivalent education. + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, production, or a related field. + Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel. + Strong communication skills in both German and English. + Willingness and ability to work in shifts, if required.
