Production Line Lead

I. Job Summary
Under general supervision, helps to coordinate specific production line operations, in order to assure their line of the plant is running smoothly, without interruption. Proactively identify issues with the production line, assist and train line personal and equipment to guarantee quality product and ensure safety.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.  

Under general supervision maintain all line equipment, by performing daily inspections, trouble shooting and anticipating issues that might arise on the line. Completing sorting tasks as necessary to keep line running efficiently.  May provide support, coverage, training, and direction to line personnel. Be a vigilant observer of all safety protocol and factors and take action as appropriate to mitigate safety risks. Maintains a safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures to include but not limited to Hazardous Energy Control Procedures, Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Space protocol. Assist in planning daily needs of the line equipment and production, communicate through written and verbal communications, with proper plant management/departments/employees to assure most productive outcome. Maintain optimal quality and production of their assigned line/area. Maintain cleanliness of floor and equipment. Other duties as assigned.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes:

Direct supervision of 20 full-time employees, including: Indirect supervision of 0 full-time employees.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Education: None required. Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience (in addition to education requirements).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Production experience.
