Job Title: Production Line Associate

Job Description

The Production Line Associate position is crucial for ensuring the effective operation of the production line, aligning with the company's production, budgetary, quality, safety, and waste objectives. Under the general supervision of the Production Manager, you will need to maintain full attention to your surroundings while working at a steady pace on a constantly moving production line. The role requires multitasking and adapting to various work assignments, maintaining a clean workspace, and following all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines. You will work in a supportive team environment to meet production quality and quantity standards, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and work well with others.

Responsibilities

Responsible for line set-up, product changeovers, package size changes, and adjustments on line equipment.Operate processing, filling, and packaging production line equipment.Perform quality inspections of products and packs, including visual checks of raw material, caps, labels, date codes, weights, packaging, and seals.Monitor work activities of the line team to ensure the effective operation of the production line to meet production needs and quality standards while minimizing downtime and practicing waste control.Process required inventory control transactions using SAP and accurately complete all necessary paperwork.Perform allergen cleanup and daily housekeeping duties in the work area.Assist in training employees on the operation of the line's equipment and company processes.Help develop others around you.Be dependable and take pride in your work.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and write clearly and effectively.Ability to work well with others in a team setting.Capability to remain on your feet for 12-hour shifts.Attention to machinery and surroundings.Some industrial or production experience is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

General labor experience.Machine operation skills.Warehouse production and packing experience.Troubleshooting skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gretna, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
