Production Foreman
**Job Title: Production Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Foreman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules, coordinating shop floor activities, ensuring quality and process control, managing inventory, and promoting safety compliance. Your expertise in production planning and hands-on involvement will be crucial to maintaining efficiency and meeting delivery deadlines. **Responsibilities** + Develop and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all manufacturing departments including fabrication, assembly, paint, and final inspection. + Review work orders and prioritize jobs to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements. + Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure material availability for scheduled jobs. + Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate machine downtime, material shortages, or priority changes. + Communicate production plans and updates to team leads and management. + Work hands-on in various production areas to assist with workflow, material movement, and troubleshooting bottlenecks. + Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure smooth transitions between departments and processes. + Monitor work progress on the shop floor and provide real-time updates on job status. + Support training efforts for new or cross-functional employees as needed. + Assist with resolving day-to-day production issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. + Partner with quality control to ensure products meet company and customer standards. + Identify process issues affecting quality or efficiency and recommend corrective actions. + Ensure work orders, drawings, and specifications are accurately followed on the floor. + Support continuous improvement efforts focused on first-pass yield and defect reduction. + Track and verify availability of raw materials, subassemblies, and components. + Communicate with procurement and warehouse teams to address shortages or delays. + Assist in managing work-in-progress (WIP) to prevent overproduction or material buildup. + Maintain accurate records of production materials used and returned. + Promote and adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. + Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment across production areas. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field preferred. + 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or coordination in a manufacturing environment preferred. + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including metal fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with ERP/MRP systems. + Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. + Hands-on mindset and ability to work on the shop floor when needed. + Ability to multitask and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in production management and supervision. + Knowledge of production processes and safety regulations. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a supportive work environment with a five-day work week and opportunities for overtime as needed. Sanz Kenway traditionally ceases operations for one week during Christmas. Employees may use available PTO to continue their pay during this closure (Dec. 24 – Jan. 02). PTO that applies to all Employees: Tier 1: 1st year depending on start date: 15 days Sick/Vacation (4.615 hrs. per pay period) Tier 2: 2nd year: 15 days Sick/Vacation (4.615 hrs. per pay period) Tier 3: 3rd year: 20 days Sick/Vacation (6.154 hrs. per pay period) Tier 4: 4th year: 25 days Sick/Vacation (7.692 hrs. per pay period) All PTO days will be based off an accrual basis.
