Job Title: Production ExpeditorJob Description

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to the production schedule. Review and distribute production work and shipment schedules while coordinating with department managers to determine progress of work and completion schedules.

ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the efficient flow of materials and jobs on the manufacturing floor.Work with production managers to identify issues or constraints and communicate impact to appropriate parties.Track expedited and/or key jobs to ensure they remain on track and provide solutions to realign jobs that are off schedule.Provide analysis on potential expedites, including impacts on existing schedules.Perform as a liaison between PM/Sales and Production groups.Assist with inventory control and material handling.Essential SkillsCommitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve common objectives.Understanding the dynamics of effective teamwork to attain higher levels of performance.Ability to work as part of a tight-knit and competent group of people.Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.Capability of engaging in teams built from other departments of the organization.Ability to balance the needs of the organization and the customer.Goal-directed thinking and action in situations for which no routine solutions exist.Effective two-way communication skills, including listening attentively and responding appropriately.Interest in personal learning and development, seeking feedback to improve and develop.Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.Two to three years working in a manufacturing, industrial machining, or fabrication assembly environment with metal or plastic.Excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels and disciplines.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles in a low-volume manufacturing environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a cleanroom environment that adheres to positive pressure HEPA filtered standards. Follow all gowning procedures in an ISO-certified environment. Expect some noise and plastic chips in the manufacturing area, with safety glasses recommended outside of designated safety corridors. Comply with company safety practices and procedures, and be prepared to stand at your workstation for your designated shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
