Production Engineer
Job Title: Production Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Production Engineer who will be responsible for coordinating and implementing new equipment and technology to drive continuous improvement within our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in machine logic, vision, robotic logic, and CAD, focusing on high precision mechanical assembly, wire forming, welding, epoxy dispensing, and dimension/performance measurement systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead periodic improvement plans for assigned product areas or specific process technologies to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.Provide advanced technical support to other departments, including downtime analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of technology, process, or equipment issues.Identify and address process parameter variations by coordinating data collection, analysis, and action planning for reduction and improvement verification.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, area management, co-workers, contractors, vendors, and customers to ensure project schedule, budget, and results are achieved with minimal impact to operations.Specify, source, and procure necessary tooling, equipment, and resources to complete assigned projects within established guidelines.Facilitate technology transfer to Production technical staff and team members to support new process launches and improvements.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in manufacturing engineering processes.Strong skills in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement.Ability to troubleshoot and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Experience with tooling and PLCs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.Preferred: 3+ years of experience, knowledge of PLCs, and robotics.

Work Environment

This role is based in an Electric Motor Stators manufacturing facility, which operates in a clean-room environment requiring smocks and ESD shoes. As part of a large organization, you will need to collaborate cross-functionally with various groups such as Quality, Production, Machine Build, and Design Engineering. The position involves a mix of on-floor and desk work depending on the project requirements. Additionally, bi-weekly meetings with colleagues in Japan may occur early in the morning or late in the evening. Employees enjoy six paid holidays and ten accrued PTO days.

This is a Permanent position based out of Berea, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
