Caterpillar is hiring experienced Production Electrical Assemblers that will install, wire, and test electrical systems on heavy equipment to join our manufacturing team in South Milwaukee, WI.

At our South Milwaukee facility, you’ll be part of a team that builds some of the largest and most powerful mining machines in the world. This facility specializes in the production of Cat® Electric Rope Shovels (ERS) used in mining operations around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, layout, and install electrical components and systems using schematics and engineering drawingsUse hand and power tools, bending/threading machines, and cranes to position and install wiring and equipmentMeasure, cut, and run wire and conduit; connect pre-wired components and complete circuitsStrip, splice, solder, and connect terminals, lugs, and hardwarePerform functional and diagnostic tests using voltmeters, watt meters, phase sequence meters, tachometers, and stroboscopesTroubleshoot and adjust electrical systems to meet specificationsLead and support others in installing and testing rotating, relay, and electronic circuitsRequired Qualifications
Experience with electrical tools: drills, pliers, wire strippers, soldering equipment, cranes, etc.Familiarity with electrical components: conduits, wires, cables, fittings, grease, oil, and hardwareAbility to read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and blueprintsWorking knowledge of high, medium, and low-pressure hydraulic and automated lube systems3–5 years of electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingPreferred Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerancesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentCommitment to safety and quality standardsWillingness to work overtime to meet production demandsAdditional Info

Summary Pay Range:
$27.98 - $34.98Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
