**Description** **Production Electrical Technician** **Location** : Chesapeake, VA **Overview** Join our team supporting the production of Navy Environmental Equipment, where precision, safety, and quality are paramount. As a Production Electrical Technician, you’ll play a critical role in electrical installations, equipment assembly, and shipboard integration—ensuring timely delivery of mission-ready systems. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Execute electrical and mechanical assembly tasks in alignment with production schedules + Coordinate installation activity of electricians assigned to production activity + Conduct quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing to validate product integrity + Perform shipboard installation of electronic systems as required + Travel to field sites for troubleshooting and upkeep of Navy equipment + Maintain accurate production records and verify deliverables against contract specifications + Maintain reports and objective quality evidence of production in required electronic file format + Tag, inventory, and kit materials to support production workflows + Identify and resolve production issues to maintain operational efficiency **Basic Qualifications:** + High School Diploma + 4+ years of experience installing Navy shipboard electrical systems + 1–2 years of experience leading small teams in technical environments (production, manufacturing, assembly, or construction) + Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and documentation practices + Certified in copper and fiber optic termination + Proficient in reading and interpreting MILSPEC drawings EIO 2024 At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
