POSITION SUMMARY

Automotive Aftermarket Europe, one of 80+ business units owned by of ITW, manufactures and supplies specialty and innovative chemicals for the automotive aftermarket. Automotive Aftermarket Europe manufacture products in Spain and Belgium, and commercialize around the globe serving markets in Europe, Middle East, Russia, Asia and Africa.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient production processes by managing schedules, coordinating with external partners, and supporting operational planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent negotiation, organization and communication skills, and a data-driven mindset for KPI tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Safety

Provide a healthy and safe work environment for all production personnel together with the Health & Safety team & operations site manager.

· Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize resource usage, and ensure on-time delivery.

· Raw Material Scheduling: Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials based on production plans and forecasts.

· External Workshop Management: Liaise with third-party workshops to manage outsourcing needs, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and cost targets are met.

· Operational Price Negotiations: Lead and support negotiations with suppliers and service providers to secure competitive pricing for operational needs.

· Non-Inventory Item Management: Oversee procurement and stock control of non-inventory items (e.g., tools, safety equipment, maintenance supplies) to support daily production operations.

· KPI Management: Track, analyse, and report on key production metrics (e.g., efficiency, downtime, throughput) to support continuous improvement initiatives.

· Strive for continuous improvement

Learn and evaluate current production and support operations to identify areas for improvement.

· Optimise processes

Revise and enhance standards, processes, workflows, and methods to increase productivity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Master's degree in general engineering or specialization in mechanical/production/industrial engineering and 1-2 years of experience in production/operations OR equivalent experience

· Strong entrepreneurial mind, self-motivated, takes initiative, you are hands-on and apply a proactive approach.

· You are a natural networker and have the flair the develop robust and successful relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

· You have a flexible and solution-oriented mindset. You have a “can do” mentality.

· You Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from Production staff to senior leadership, you possess influencing skills.

· Fluent in Dutch, English, both written and spoken

· Strong numerical and analytical skills

· You are eager to learn, you can absorb a lot of information, and you know how to set priorities.

· You can deal with deadlines; work efficiently and accurately and have a strong orientation to detail.

· You are driven and have a positive attitude, and you have a drive for excellence.

· You can easily handle Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and you preferably have experience with an ERP package.
