This position is based in Uppsala, Sweden, and supports the Immuno Diagnostics Division (IDD) Finance team at the largest site within IDD where Thermo Fisher Scientific develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. We are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Our Operations Finance function provides financial oversight and support for our fast-growing, high-paced division by leading activities such as budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, reporting, and driving financial success.
What You Will Do:
Annual standard cost process including ERP updates for our sites in Uppsala, Freiburg, and Ängelholm.
Analysis of standard cost development, margin impact and strategic budget planning (5 year plans).
Maintain accurate and consistent standard costs in collaboration with finance and business team members at the three sites.
Regular updates of standard costs.
Validate Practical Process Improvement (PPI) savings, participate in Kaizens, and identify areas of opportunity.
Support and guide operations in matters related to standard costs, financial decisions, and productivity projects.
Collaborate with functional stakeholders for financial visibility and accountability.
Support month-end closing and key variance financial reporting.
Support forecasting and AOP reporting.
Ad hoc calculations, analyses, and evaluations.
Participation in investments, inventory provision and cost control in close collaboration with the Operations team.
Continuously improve finance team processes with a focus on standard cost improvements in execution.
Participate in key IT projects including SAP ERP improvement initiatives.

How You Will Get Here:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field/equivalent experience.
Experience
Proven experience in a production environment.
Experience in cost accounting preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and corporate finance tools.
Sophisticated Excel skills.
Preferred experience with Power BI.
Preferred experience in business governance.
Curious and proactive to identify root causes.
Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to summarize and present information concisely and effectively.
Attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality work; ability to learn quickly and handle several tasks in a fast paced environment.
