Production Control Coordinator
Job Title: Production Control CoordinatorJob Description

The Production Control Coordinator/Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely flow of raw materials, parts, and assemblies throughout the production process. This role involves a balance of proactive planning and real-time expediting, coordination across departments to resolve bottlenecks, maintain inventory accuracy, and support on-time delivery to customers.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain status reports for assigned parts and assemblies, including identification, quantities, schedules, and completion dates.Monitor and expedite materials through operational procedures to ensure production schedules are met.Identify and resolve material discrepancies, coordinating corrective actions with procurement, engineering, and shop floor teams.Liaise with departments to address manufacturing difficulties, schedule changes, engineering modifications, or other delays.Ensure raw material inventory is maintained to standard protocols, supporting accuracy and customer confidence.Proactively manage demand fluctuations by soliciting updated rates and adjusting material flow accordingly.Support production efforts by coordinating activities with peers and empowering team members to take ownership of tasks.Assist with shop order and finished parts inventories, ensuring timely release and movement of materials.Communicate clearly and respectfully using email, radio, or messenger tools to escalate issues and align stakeholders.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma/GED (Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred).1+ year experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.Strong knowledge of production control processes, material flow, and inventory management.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage workflow across multiple sections.Proficiency in MS Office and production control systems.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey issues and solutions clearly and succinctly.Additional Skills & QualificationsAny related work experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved is a plus.Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and remain mobile in shop conditions (exposure to dirt, fumes, heat, cold, and noise).Work Environment

The work environment is on-site, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. Parking is included.

This is a Contract position based out of Middle River, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
