Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Clerk is responsible for data entry and data verification. S/he generates and distributes reports. Production Clerk will also assist with supply inventory and ordering. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Compiles and verifies data Generates and distributes reports Makes recommendations on when and what new supplies should be ordered. Generates and processes paperwork for each shipment of product; such as weight, customer orders, tanker number, shipper number and plate count. Manages production transactions for inventory control of raw materials and finished goods (i.e. receiving of tankers, inventory of tankers, physical adjustments). Follows proper SOP’s (Standard Operation Procedures) Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Basic computer operations such as word processing, Excel spreadsheets and database software used within work unit. Experience generating and professionally formatting reports. Office equipment operations such as photocopier, phone and fax machines. Strong attention to detail and effective organization methods and techniques for maintaining record keeping and filing systems. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Communication and interpersonal relations as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors and the general public, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments. Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment. Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction. Displays responsible behavior at work. Open to change. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
