This role supports manufacturing operations in a specific manufacturing area (Plating Lab) within the business to ensure production needs are met. May provide assistance to the technology department by conducting tests for the development of new processes/procedures/tooling/products.
As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for:
Complying with all HSE, Quality, and Radiation Safety procedures and policies.
Creating solutions, maintaining equipment, cleaning/processing/testing parts, following all technical procedures/drawings, and performing manufacturing processes in the Plating Lab, among others.
Working directly with the production planner and manager to understand manufacturing priorities, then coordinates efforts to meet production demands; Accomplishes assigned work with minimal supervision.
Performing Radiation and HSE activities as required (Gamma Surveys, Air Monitoring, Tennelec (brand of equipment that is used for radiation background scans) Maintenance, security inventory verifications, eye wash, safety shower, and spill kit inspections, exhaust hood wash downs, chemical management, among others.)
Serves as manufacturing expert in this manufacturing area/process (once trained), maintains inventory of production solutions/parts/supplies, and supports quality activities as required (record keeping, documentation review, among others).

To be successful in this role, you will require:
Have an associate's or bachelor’s degree (at a minimum) in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited university or college.
Have the ability to actively and methodically troubleshoot during part processing.
Have the desire and ability to learn and apply hands-on chemistry in a production setting (preferred experience in electroplating techniques).
Have experience performing wet chemistry practices and in a controlled lab environment.
Comfortable handling and working with raw materials
Have the ability to work within a production lab and be comfortable performing wet chemistry practices. - mixing and measuring solutions through the use of pipettes, flasks, beakers, etc
Have the drive to accomplish assigned work with minimal supervision.
Ability to transition well in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
Understand and apply manufacturing techniques.
Be able to quickly assess deviations that have resulted in out-of-process conditions

Working Monday-Friday between the hours of 6 AM-4 PM, with flexibility to choose starting time between 6 AM-7:30 AM.
