Production Associate II

Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Ordering and transporting supplies to their respective area of usage, relieving operator and line associates under general supervision of the Shift Leader.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for ensuring accurate materials and supplies are used on the line. Acquiring supply order form (ensure using current form) and daily production schedule for ordering materials and supplies for production. Check daily schedules and keep open communication with Team Leader and Work Team Coordinators for changeovers. Check line inventory (shippers, film, cartons, and labels) prior to ordering supplies Replaced production supplies when inventory has been depleted. Order Supplies through KPIP-B! Responsible for using SAP on returns and rejected materials and making sure they are labeled accurately using required measuring instruments. Take Draw Downs every 2 hours to the cooler during production hours. Ensure that Fork Trucks and Walkie Riders are in good working conditions, and that inspection sheets are filled out daily. Ensure that batteries are charged at end of shift. Pulls full pallets of finished product from lines when needed. Ensures that skids (white, GPS, module) are returned to accurate location by the end of shift. Pulls materials off trailers. Record quality and production checks as required on computer and other systems. Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area. General housekeeping duties include sweeping, bending, lifting bags filled with trash, picking up cheese bags, transporting trash to compactors and cardboard to recycling areas. Performs variety of sanitation functions. Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to work with others on the line (i.e. exhibit team work skills). Performs other duties as advised by the Leadership Team. Provides break relief as needed for Operator and line associates. Must maintain filling equipment by applying the IL6S system and settings. Must attend meetings. Carry out a variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc. Will be required to be involved in improvement opportunities (IL6S) teams. Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge:  Basic math, reading and communication. Working Environment:  Primarily indoors, with heating and cooling regulated in a general production environment.

Physical Requirements: 

Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead. Lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 100 pounds. Holds and grips objects, must possess manual dexterity vital to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Working Environment:  Indoors, cool to warm, subject to wet, damp, and sometimes dusty conditions.  During Sanitation can be exposed to wet conditions and exposure to chemicals and dust.  Will be vital to work from ladders and platforms.

Licensing/Certification:  Able to acquire Fork Truck License and Walkie Rider License
