Job Title: Production Associate Level I – Machining
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Duration: 6-month contract
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary
The Production Associate Level I – Machining operates machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment while meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role requires hands-on work with machining equipment, tools, and inspection instruments, with limited supervision.
Machining Responsibilities
Technicians in this area rotate between multiple workstations. Responsibilities include:
+ Power wash cleaning of crankshafts and cylinder blocks
+ Detailed inspection of crankshafts
+ Operation of basic polishing machines
+ Manual cleaning of cylinder block surfaces and threaded holes using power tools and abrasives
+ Detailed inspection of cylinder blocks
+ Use of cranes and basic measurement equipment (e.g., bore gauges, micrometers)
+ Following documented work instructions and procedures
+ Recording process and inspection results as required
+ Operating a milling machine (for more skilled operators)
+ Supporting problem-solving and continuous improvement investigations
+ Performing all tasks in compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements

+ Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards
+ Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or unsafe conditions
+ Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations
+ Use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
+ Promote a safe, interdependent work culture
+ Correct hazards within scope of control
+ Minimize environmental impact related to work activities
+ Participate in required HSE training
Quality
+ Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures including SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards
+ Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming material
+ Raise quality concerns to minimize cost and risk
Production & Equipment
+ Meet required cycle times and engineering standards
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning
+ Perform planned operator care and basic maintenance tasks
+ Remain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to meet production goals
+ Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to identify and address equipment repair needs

Education & Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience meeting regulatory requirements)
+ May require licensing related to export controls or sanctions compliance
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
