Job DescriptionThe Production Area Leader plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Banner & Pocket production area. This position is fully accountable for safety, daily operations, and continuous improvement, while also contributing to strategic planning, workforce development, and quality enhancement. The leader acts as a key liaison between shopfloor teams and support functions, driving performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
⚙️ Daily Operations
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and inspection protocols.Lead SAT4 meetings for Curing & OB issues and escalate to relevant departments.Monitor and report daily GT stock inventory.Enforce discipline and manage daily manning arrangements.Ensure smooth execution of production plans; revise programs as needed.Lead shopfloor issue resolution for Curing & OB.Coordinate with Engineering during breakdowns and prioritize repairs.📋 Adherence & Compliance
Ensure compliance with SH policies, QMS, PPS, and internal procedures.Coordinate and document counseling sessions.Ensure availability of updated Work Instructions and Specifications.🧭 Projects and Continuous Improvement
Develop and execute corrective and contingency plans.Improve and stabilize process capability and efficiency.Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions using structured analysis.Drive continuous improvement and collaborate with support functions for improvement initiatives.📈 Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements
Implement efficient processes to meet output and quality targets.Maintain production quality through robust process controls.Align equipment, tooling, and processes with product requirements.Execute corrective actions and CI activities related to scrap, rework, tire weight, and cured tire dimensions.📦 Others
Take full responsibility for designated production areas.Ensure full compliance with company safety regulations across all employees.Lead accident investigations and follow-ups in Banner & PocketEnsure operators receive proper training and tools.Identify and arrange for multi-skill development as needed.Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Manufacturing with minimum 5 years experience OR Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Manufacturing with minimum 3 years experience.
Preferably have experience in managing Shopfloor employees.
Fluent in Malay and English
