**Job Title: Production Specialist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Production Specialist for our liquid plant operations. This role involves working around pumps to transfer chemicals, using forklift equipment, and handling hoses to move liquid chemicals. The position requires consistent heavy lifting and working in various departments including peroxide and hazardous material transloading.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate pumps and forklifts to transfer chemicals.
+ Connect hoses to tanks for chemical transfer to totes/drums.
+ Manually handle or use a sit-down forklift for moving totes of chemicals.
+ Verify and document products on and off trucks.
+ Label drums and totes accurately.
+ Perform consistent heavy lifting.
+ Work in peroxide and hazardous material transloading departments.
+ Drive a Spotter truck to move containers around the property.
+ Clean and maintain the work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing atmosphere.
+ Sit-down forklift or clamp truck experience.
+ Chemical Operator or Compounder experience.
+ Experience with tank loading and fluid transfer.
+ Proficiency with railcar and tank loading equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working with production machinery such as valves or pumps.
+ Prior experience in heavy lifting and loading/unloading materials.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a heavy-duty, industrial environment where you will work near hazardous chemicals. The company is non-union with approximately 100 employees. You will work both indoors and outdoors, with 50% of your day potentially spent outside. The first shift hours are from 6AM-2:30PM or 7AM-3:30PM, and candidates must be open to overtime opportunities. You will experience a supportive atmosphere in a full-service chemical storage, handling, and distribution logistics setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
