We are looking for a talented **Product Validation Engineering Technician** to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.

+ **Champion continuous improvement.** Leading Drawing and Design Reviews and maintaining quality standards will drive excellence across every stage of the design process.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ **Proficiency in CAD modeling and system-level analysis** You must be skilled in creating Computer Aided Design models that align with Cummins’ standards and support advanced analyses like Dimensional Variation and Finite Element Analysis. This ensures your designs are not only accurate but also analytically validated for performance and reliability.
+ **Deep understanding of mechanical systems** Success depends on your ability to design robust mechanical solutions that meet customer expectations across diverse operating environments. This means applying working knowledge of mechanical principles to create innovative, lifecycle-conscious designs.
+ **Precision in design specification and communication** You’ll need to produce complete and clear specifications—including solid models, bills of materials, and detailed drawings—that enable cross-functional teams to manufacture and inspect products with confidence. Adherence to national, international, industry, and Cummins standards is essential.
+ **Strong configuration and change management discipline** Establishing and maintaining product baselines, tracking changes, and managing work requests from concept to obsolescence ensures design integrity and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
**Education/Experience:**
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

**Compensation:**
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
