Product Validation Engineer

JOB SUMMARYGeneral Summary of Responsibilities: Ensure that the systems, equipment and/or process used to create products meet specifications and quality standards. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Generates Change Control and validation protocols in compliance with both customer and Jabil requirements. • Lead Validation projects according to Jabil’s procedures and customer specifications. • Develops validation strategies for new programs in conjunction with customer’s technical team assigned to the program. • Maintains schedules, prepares status reports and drive meetings with customers. • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and objectives. • Generates dimensional analysis reports utilizing Excel, Predisys, Quality Companion or Minitab. • Analyzes dimensional data and generates Statistical reports for customers and internal use. • Performs process capability studies and other associated statistical based analysis as part of the tool validation procedures. • Applies Quality Engineering principles to understand and analyze equipment operation, troubleshoot problems, and to identify significant variables affecting process performance. • Uses mathematics and statistics to establish and carry out test program and analyzes the data obtained. • Assists in the development of design of experiments to prevent quality problems. • Receives, reviews, and acknowledges JABIL’s capability to meet new customer prints and specifications. • Identifies metrology equipment and measurement methods for new programs or tools being transferred to Jabil Puerto Rico in conjunction with the metrology personnel. • Provides written and verbal instructions to all personnel executing the validation activities, in accordance to the specific validation strategy established for a new program or tool. • Participates in technical assessments or investigations, as required, in support of activities such as CAPA, NMCR investigation or DOE development. • Prepares and modifies procedures as required in support of the introduction of new programs or tools. • Generates Quality Plans and working instructions associated with new programs or tools. • Evaluates and recommends In-Process testing equipment, calibration, frequency and procedure as part of the New Product Introduction Transfer Plan deployment. • Identifies customer’s requirements and develops validation protocol to determine process capability. • Meets with the customer technical team to discuss validation exercise results. Presents and explains in the required level of detail, validation report documents and dimensional analysis. • Perform special projects as assigned. • Development of validation protocols for ancillary equipment, manufacturing equipment or related assembly / contract manufacturing operations. • Provides relevant support to the organization for regulatory audits. • May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
