POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for a variety of material handling functions in order to meet customer delivery schedules safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role is for split shift but must be willing to train on 1st shift. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Ability to work independently with limited assistance in either materials or shipping/receiving. + Understanding of MSS system + Able to issue parts in system, MSS & Solumina + Understanding and usage of material functions in Solumina + Able to understand Lean Kit board, Kanban board, etc. + Understand process of movement of parts in the plant; able to perform tugger route and deliver parts correctly to operators. + Understand stockroom picking process; able to process a pick and stage for distribution to the shop. + Able to ident parts and process parts that need ident with limited assistance + Able to operate wash tank and process parts that are located at the washer + Support cycle count program QUALIFICATIONS: + High school diploma or GED required + May be required to lift up to 35 lbs + Basic inventory knowledge\ + Basic shipping/receiving knowledge + Basic knowledge of problem solving tools + Ability to read and understand work instructions, accurately complete required paperwork + DOT certification + Demonstrate process knowledge on newly learned techniques + Ability to work in team settings + Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques. + Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment. + Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
