Who we're looking for:
TRD is looking for a highly motivated Product Support Engineer to join our team. This position will be the primary technical support contact for NASCAR teams using our Vehicle Simulation software. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for motorsports.
This position is based in Salisbury, NC and requires regular in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to racing teams using TRD’s vehicle simulation softwareTroubleshoot application issues in real-time during race weekends and testing sessionsInterface directly with race engineers and team personnel during simulation sessionsDocument bugs and feature requests, communicating them effectively to the development teamCollaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize improvements based on customer feedbackTrain new users on software functionality and best practicesAssist in testing new features and updates before releaseCreate and maintain technical documentation and user guidesDevelop and implement support processes to improve customer experienceMonitor system performance and identify areas for optimizationRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to explain complex technical concepts to users of varying technical backgroundsExperience working in fast-paced environments with shifting prioritiesExperience with Software Development Life CyclePreferred Qualifications
2+ years of technical support experience or equivalent roleAutomotive mechanical experience or understanding of vehicle dynamicsExperience and passion in motorsports or racing environmentKnowledge of simulation software and/or race car setup principlesUnderstanding of APIs and cloud-based applicationsExperience with ticket management systemsBasic scripting or programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, etc.)Experience with data analysis toolsTravel requirements: Occasional travel to racetracks and team facilities may be required. Weekend work will be necessary during race events to provide support to teams.
